I was just writing a folk song that started off like this....

.... that's to say you don't say much.

it's random and mellow. i think i like it. but anyways. it's even though it's always easier to just post a lyric, i'll give a brief update on life.

-no longer sick ( it ended up being about a week. i'm grateful thats over.)
-writing lots
-singles on saturday... josh and i are playing acoustic and ben is drumming. it's going to be Neil Young style worship. I'm psyched. we're even thinking of doing the double mics for stereo like back in the 60's but that might be over the top.
-looking forward to NA. looking forward to whitecastle. looking forward to not sleeping for a week.
-really wanting to lock myself in a hunting cabin and write/record a sad acoustic driven folk album.

i just watched a film called "The Longest Day" and it was one of the longest films i've ever watched, but it was reasonably impressive considering it was made in the 50's i think.

and i just (finally) registered for NA. cheers.

i don't think i've ever seen this in january before.

definitely not in vancouver. i don't know how to take it. i expect every winter to be 8 months of rain. yikes.
