Well.
It's been a few days.
I haven't posted.
I was hardly at home for an hour yesterday, so I have a pretty good excuse.
I still don't know what to write.
Tonight is going to be busy.
I have a guitar lesson, josh has a soccer game, and then of course, 24 is on.
You can laugh at the fact that a tv show is such a necessity for the night, but it's the only one I consistently watch so and it's only on once a week so it's pretty much set in stone that I have to be home to watch it on monday.
I have to see how Jack dodges missiles with a passenger plane tonight.
I was also supposed to have physio today, but couldn't because there was no one that could give me a ride. believe me, I'm not sad about that either.
WELL YOU"RE NOT HARD COOOOOOORRRRE!!!!\\UNLESS YOU LIVE HARD COOOOOOORRREE!!!!!!
BUT THE LEGEND OF THE RENT WAS WAY HARD COOOOOOORRRREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>
well, that was random.
ok.
I need to eat some food.
and one picturator to finish it off.
or not.
out.
pictures will come later.

I went to physiotherapy yesterday....they moved my foot. It was painful.
Because the splint that it was stuck in for 3 weeks had my foot pointed down, and not at a right angle with the ground, my foot was so stuck in that position that they couldn't push it to a right angle. It was crazy. But now with the crutches I can put put a tiny bit of weight on it. Well at least I could yesterday. Today it's so sore that I can't do very much. Hopefully I'll be able to walk by the time NA comes, but it's possible I might still need one crutch.
I'll try to do a good deep post later.

My sister's Yorkshire Terrier is sitting on my lap right now.
I've decidedly decided that I want a Bull Mastiff.
They're huge and fat and stupid and funny, and supposedly very nice dogs.
I was at starbucks tonight at a very encouraging meeting (not drinking coffee) and I saw one. from then on my mind was made up.
And I'll name him Fredrick.

I've had a bunch of deep ideas swirling around in my head for the last 30 minutes.
for instance take this question:
what is light?
----------------------------
it's easy to brush it to the side and say, "well it's light obviously", but that is simply what we call it because we don't know what it really is. what is it's substance? how does it move?
or try shining a flashlight on your hand from about a foot away. when you turn it on, something is flying at your hand at the speed of light and crashing into it (notice it can't actually go through), and you don't feel a thing except possibly (if you're holding it a bit too close) a little heat.
but what if a baseball hit you in the gut while traveling at the speed of light? You'd have a perfectly round whole right through you and the ball wouldn't have slowed down too much. so what is different about light? size obviously and weight, but if you say that, then you are acknowledging light to be a particle, which is possible, but slightly far-fetched.
for instance, if light is a particle, and it is shooting out of the sun and out of light bulbs and everything else, what kind of particle is it, and how does it "shoot"? Is it the extreme heat that causes atoms to disconnect from their molecules? Is that the explanation for the heat we feel? Trillions of blazing hot (yet ridiculously miniscule) atoms crashing into our skin? That is certainly one explanation, but what about the sun and the stars? How could atoms that are shot out of the sun travel the hundreds of thousands of miles through ice cold space and reach earth still blazing hot? Again we can point out that the size and temperature of the sun is many times that of the coil in a light bulb, but probability stands against it. Even though the sun could torch those atoms until their electrons were orbiting the nucleus at incalculable speeds, and then I'm sure project them at a far higher speed, the distance is huge, and i doubt that they would still carry heat if they reached us at all. Although if they do reach us, I wonder if that's where dust comes from? all the little particles of light now burnt out.
But if we decide that the Particle Theory is off base, then what is light? Maybe it is a wave, like sound, except that it is such a high frequency that our ears can't detect it, but our eyes can see it? That would explain how it can travel vast distances through space and not be "extinguished" as it were, and anyone who has put their hand near a large sub woofer knows that sound can be detected by our sensory nerves, so why couldn't (at a far higher frequency) we perceive light waves with our eyes, and identify them as heat when they are in abundance?
But that is also nothing but speculation, with no (current) possible way of proving or disproving either theory. In fact maybe light is something that we haven't thought up yet, and perhaps maybe we never will, but when you look deep enough it makes you look up in amazement and wonder that He created the light, and knows it well.

you should see the stars tonight
how they shimmer shine so bright
against the black they look so white
coming down from such a height
to reach me now, reach me now
you should see the moon in the flight
cutting across the misty night
softly dancing in sunshine
reflections of this light
reach me now, you reach me now
and how could such a thing
shine its light on me
and make everything beautiful again
and you should feel the sun in the spring
coming out after a rain
suddenly all is green
sunshine on everything
i can feel it now, i feel you now
and how could such a thing
shine its light on me
and make everything beautiful
and you should hear the angels sing
all gathered round their king
more beautiful than you could dream
i've been quietly listening
you can hear 'em now, i hear em now
and how could such a king
shine His light on me
and make everything beautiful again.

Sorry, no good post tonight; I'm too tired.
This morning i woke up with the alarm (6:00), and Josh said that there wasn't much point in me coming early because I can't set up much with my foot anyway, so I closed my eyes and next thing I knew it was 9:00. Now I panicked because my mom didn't even know I was still home, and they were just about ready to leave, so I got ready in about ten minutes and left.
After later in the afternoon I rocked out at the church with a few other guys from the church. I'm reluctant to call it a band even though we fulfill the basic essence of what a band is, our piano player is like 13 (not as a diss, seriously he's incredible), our E guitar player is 16 (and fairly new to it), then I lead and play A guitar as well as E guitar (and I really am horrible at leading because I'm not used to it at all), then Josh plays drums (and rocks), and we have a 15 year old kid playing bass (and he also rocks.).
And alone we could all play great, but most of us have never played in a band so it's a learning experience. Last time we jammed it was horrible, but this time was sweet. We worked on Come You Saints off the Fuse cd. Next week we're probably going to learn either O Praise Him, or No One Like You, or both.
And now I am going to either read until some outrageous hour, or sleep.

I just realized today that NA is pretty soon.
I haven't really thought of it at all since I registered in December or January or whenever it was.
It should be some good times. All I'm dreading is the travel.
A redeye flight with three plane changes. On crutches. ouch.
\I like pictures. Here are some more../

The randomness.
Adam Clayton and the The Edge in the last one.
Unfortunately we have none of me as Bono.
And Josh takes a power stance in a Houston train, and uses the wheel chair method of transportation in the airport.
I was thinking about how sweet it would be to ride a wheelchair on one of those flat escalators that they have in airports that make you walk fast. At the end you would really shoot off it.

I shouldn't promote my upcoming (and unwritten) posts as being good, because that seems to be when you run out of time or just have a complete creative blank. Fortunately I'm not short on time, and so far I don't see the big "END OF CREATIVE FLOW" wall, so I appear to be in good shape.
Today was fairly laid back, and here are the highlights:
-Good reading time this morning.
-A few hours of editing weddings.
-Some song writing time.
-Some electric and acoustic guitar playing ( I wrote a little instrumental acoustic guitar song, but couldn't record it because I couldn't figure out how to use the recording software we have. so much for being good with technology.)
-Went to the music store and got a big multi-guitar stand because our room seems to be overflowing with guitars and Basses. (I guess overflowing is a bit of an exaggeration but we have one Electric, two Basses, and two Acoustics (mine and my pop's) but it seems like a lot when they're leaning up against walls everywhere.)
-Ate Pizza
-Posting and more editing.
That was basically what my day was like.
Our Soccer team lost last night.
haha.
that was random.
I wasn't laughing at the team.
they played well.
they just lost.
Josh had a wide open net at the end, jumped up and took a lunging kick at the ball and.......
I could feel the wind from the sidelines as he missed it completely.
Sorry josh.
You'll bury the next one.
Finally AJ scored.
But we lost anyhow.

Hahahaha.
Random pictures.
I don't know how that last hoser got in there. hahah. He's in Louisville right now at Together for the Gospel.
Heading..
OUt.
P.S.
thinking about this this morning:
The Judge of all, judged by men,
God's own Son, the Spotless Lamb,
Beaten for my guilt and sin,
Torn that I might enter in,
He bore the wrath for all I've done,
I gain the righteousness He won,
The wonder of wonders forever will be,
That God came from Heaven to suffer for me.
Song of the week: (I thought I could never really enjoy listening to these guys) Relient K, When I go down.
goodnight.

I have a blog!
Restating the obvious can be very funny.
Today was an interesting sunday. I woke up a bit late (6:45am), then went to Tim Horten's for a bagel on the way to church. I arrived at the building and chilled out (that's unusual) while everyone else set up because I can't carry much with my crutches, until the sound board was out. When they finally got the Board out, I plugged everything in and then went and was hanging out on the stage when my dad walked up and said "So......you want to play electric guitar this morning?" I laughed and said sure, but I didn't think that he was serious until he came back and told me to hitch a ride home with my cousin Marty to get my guitar. It was cool, considering it was my first time ever playing in the band. Then we had a guest speaker named Bill Farley who spoke about God's passion to bless. One thing that stood out to me was when He talked out our generally inaccurate views of what God's blessing is. We tend to think of God's blessing as material things, when in fact His blessing is Himself. It's funny to think about how I could be the poorest, most sick, and most persecuted person in the world, but be blessed far more than some that lived comfortable lives. That's because trials bring us closer to God, they make us rely on Him with a trust that is much less easy to have when we are comfortable in our current position. It made me think about my ankle and how God is blessing my life through the injury. True I might not be able to walk on it for several months, but those are several months that I will be able to spend unfettered by a regular job and mostly at home where I'll have lots of time to spend with Him, and that is a blessing.
"The cross is the Mount Everest of God's blessing. All His other blessings are just mole hills in comparison"
